Daniel Dubois and Fabio Wardley meet again on 17 October 2026 at The O2 in London, with Dubois’s WBO heavyweight title at stake and DAZN broadcasting. Queensberry’s announcement confirms the event. Their argument over punching power supplies the tension.
In their first fight on 9 May, Wardley dropped Dubois in rounds one and three. Dubois recovered, took control and forced referee Howard Foster to intervene in round eleven. Wardley invoked his rematch clause after that first professional defeat.
Yet Dubois dismissed Wardley’s power in his 12 October interview with The Ring. Wardley’s answer was the obvious one: Dubois had already hit the canvas twice. Both original interviews appear in our video.
That leaves a sharper question than who punches harder: can Wardley turn an early breakthrough into a finish, or can Dubois again survive the danger and impose his pressure?
This is the pre-fight story featured in our 14 October briefing, added to the website on 17 October. It does not report the rematch result.
