Jai Opetaia had begun camp for a possible Deontay Wilder fight, according to Murray Wenzel’s AAP report on 20 October. The distinction is preparation versus confirmation: the matchup remained unsigned in our briefing.

That updates the earlier negotiations covered in our 11 October episode. Starting camp shows the proposed fight is being prepared for, but it does not establish that both sides have signed or that the event is final.
