Agit Kabayel has the full WBC heavyweight title. He says the feeling of being champion will arrive after he successfully defends it in the ring. That distinction — between official status and personal satisfaction — is the point of his interview with The Ring.

Kabayel was elevated after Oleksandr Usyk relinquished his sanctioning-body titles. He now faces Nelson Hysa on 28 November 2026 in Düsseldorf, live on DAZN, in a defence announced by Queensberry.

The Ring listed Kabayel at 27–0 with 19 knockouts and Hysa at 25–0 with 23 knockouts. Kabayel’s comments do not dispute his official championship: they describe what he wants to prove next.

Our episode retains his original interview audio. The statement is his; the confirmed defence date comes from the event announcement.
